I do not know any good coaches who pass the years and continue training in the same way. Most of the aspects we know of and are commonly used in professional training, both amateur and high performance athletes, are not unanimously endorsed by science and are based primarily on the opinion and experience of great coaches. Although it is true that many studies support much of the current knowledge, it is also true that many others do not achieve the same results. In the end, the reality you see is that a well-equipped laboratory that is, and trained its researchers, can hardly accurately simulate the environment in which athletes and athletes in general are in the day to day. In their place they continue to be formed in those matters that are more interesting to them and not in those that best suit their clients.
